The following white papers have historical interest because they describe IBM’s thinking on this matter. Please note that IBM uses the term Anonymous Resolution (AR) for a concept approximately equivalent to Blind Encrypted Data Matching (BEDM). On one hand, IBM used hashed values without attending to security issues raised by their use, a negative. On the other hand, they combined AR with their relationship discovery techniques in a very clever way, a definite plus. - “Research Report: Application of IBM Anonymous Resolution to the Health Care Sector” – Peter P.
